Put frankly as it is, it makes no sense that folks should live to work and not the other way around. But there are good reasons for doing things the way they do them. We can’t all live our lives as if money didn’t matter, because money does matter in our society. In the modern quasi-capitalist society, money is the vehicle through which we get what we want. And so it makes sense to strive to first attain money.
