Radically rethinking the way we fight poverty
The authors of Poor Economics have a point: Ideology drives a lot of policies, and even the most well-intentioned ideas can get bogged down by ignorance of ground-level realities and inertia at the level of the implementer. Trying to solve world poverty is a difficult task, one that has been the focus of much effort and money and yet hasn’t led to much success. Perhaps these folks have provided a new and more effective method to the table.
