Is self-rule so far-fetched?
Here is a concise explanation of the difference between state government and self governance. As described by the creator: It is a brief video “Looking at the concept of governmental involvement in citizens’ personal lives.
This video is meant to illustrate the importance of pausing to consider whether government involvement is the best way to address an issue. While individual governance is extremely useful in a great number of situations, one must also recognize that state involvement can be beneficial in certain situations, such as a reasonably sized national defense.”
One might question in our interdependent age whether self-rule is possible and what steps would need to be taken to ensure this kind of autonomy. At least one argument has been made to this end.
